I'm Nico, a professional software developer living on an island in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Previously, I was working as the technical cofounder of Zodaka, a start up company operating in the Financial Industry. Now, I am available for consulting work while I'm also working on personal projects and contributing to the open source community.

I enjoy bringing my expertise of technology to solve business challenges and build sustainable products and services. I have worked as a CTO and as a software engineer and have collaborated closely with business partners and developers to outline product roadmaps and requirements to then build the desired features and services within the given timelines. I enjoy collaborating closely with colleagues to continue learning and solve interesting challenges along the way. I have also worked with international teams and am able to interact with team members in different timezones and communicate in foreign languages including French and Spanish.
The technologies that I primarily work with include Node.js, Javascript, and client side frameworks such as React and Angular. I have also managed the deployment infrastructure of online systems and have worked with AWS and other cloud based deployment platforms. I also believe in adhering to TDD (Test Driven Development) principles and recognize the importance of adding unit and integration tests to projects that I'm involved in. The evolution of software development requires continuous learning and I strive to stay up to date with the latest technologies as well as industry leading security and design principles.
